The Ironbark Lending team works closely with advisers to support clients where debt forms part of a broader financial strategy — whether that means reducing debt sooner, improving cash flow, funding property purchases, supporting business growth, or using debt strategically for investment and wealth creation.
With more than 20 years of business and lending experience, Damien founded Brisbane Financial Services (BFS) in 2003 and successfully grew the business before merging with Invest Blue in 2020, now Ironbark Advice. Under his leadership, the lending business expanded from assisting six clients per month with a team of three to supporting more than 200 clients per month with a dedicated team of 38 professionals by 2025. Based in Ironbark’s Brisbane office as Head of Lending, Damien specialises in business and commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions, and business partner and management buyouts, while leading the strategic growth and delivery of lending services across the business.
Damien is recognised as a leader in the lending industry, with achievements including Loan Market Chairman’s Business (2022–2025), MPA Top Brokerages (2022, 2023 and 2025), AMP Gold Practice (2012–2017), Australian Mortgage Awards Finalist (2008), MPA Top 100 Mortgage Brokers (2005, 2008), and LJ Hooker Champion (2004, 2005, 2007–2010). He is a member of the Finance Brokers Association of Australia (FBAA) and is affiliated with the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA). Outside of work, Damien enjoys coaching and managing his four children's soccer teams.
