Agenda

3:30: Welcome

Please arrive by 3:15pm.

3:35 - 4:15pm: Panel session one

"Rethinking diversification in concentrated markets", with John Vojticek (DWS), Chris Adams (Infinity), Michael Lin (Robeco) and Chris Ogilvie (Ironbark Advice).

As market returns become increasingly concentrated among a small number of stocks, how can investors address concentration risk and achieve meaningful portfolio diversification without compromising return potential? This session will explore where opportunities lie beyond the “Magnificent Seven” and other dominant index exposures, across Australian small-mid cap companies, emerging markets and listed property.

4:20 - 5:00pm: Panel session two

“Building resilient portfolios to navigate uncertainty”, with Piers Bolger (Infinity), John Vojticek (DWS), Michael Lin (Robeco) and Chris Ogilvie (Ironbark Advice).

In order to meet the evolving needs of investors, resilient portfolios must do more than simply appear diversified on paper; they need to draw on genuinely differentiated sources of alpha to be able to navigate a range of market environments. Bringing together perspectives from a range of specialist investment managers and Ironbark Advice CIO, Chris Ogilvie, this session will explore the role of active and passive strategies in portfolios and how to build resilient client portfolios for the next decade.
